How do I sign up/sign in?

Click Log In in the upper right corner of the LALAL.AI site page. After that, you will see a pop-up window where you can register or log in to an existing account via email, Google, or Facebook.

When you sign up or sign in via email, you receive a letter from LALAL.AI containing a one-time verification code and a temporary authorization link. Enter the code on the website to access your LALAL.AI account.

Note that the code expires 10 minutes after it is sent by email. If you haven't managed to use the code in that time, you can request a new code or simply click the authorization link in the email. The link will be valid for 24 hours. If you have not used the link within this period, you will need to re-enter your email address on the LALAL.AI website.

How do I improve the stem-splitting quality?

In order to enhance the quality of the results you get with LALAL.AI, consider the following tips:

1. Ensure your file is high-quality

   Better input leads to better output. Regardless of AI technology's sophistication, the quality of the original audio source is crucial in determining the final results.

   • Upload files with a higher bitrate (e.g., 320 kbps for MP3) to capture greater detail and improve separation quality.
   • Opt for lossless formats such as WAV or FLAC to achieve optimal results. These formats preserve audio quality, which is essential for precise stem extraction.
   • Select tracks in which different instruments or vocals are clearly defined, avoiding those with overlapping frequencies. Clear distinctions between sounds facilitate better separation.

2. Use the preview option

   Take advantage of the possibility to listen to stem previews. It allows you to evaluate how well the stems are being separated before committing to a full split.

   This way, you can identify any issues early on and upload another version of the track if needed without wasting minute credits on full processing that may not meet your expectations.

   Please note that by proceeding with the full split, you confirm your satisfaction with the splitting quality provided in the preview.

3. Utilize advanced features

   In Stem Splitter and Vocal Remover, you can use the Enhanced Processing and De-Echo features. Enhanced Processing lets you choose between deeper and cleaner extraction of the selected stem. Both features are offered in the settings during the upload and preview stages, although Enhanced Processing is unavailable for some combinations of stem and neural network.    In LALAL.AI Voice Cleaner, you can apply the De-Echo feature and change the Noise Canceling Level setting. De-Echo reduces echo and reverb in the voice, while Noise Canceling Level raises the volume of a quiet voice after the noise has been removed: Mild leaves it as it is, Normal raises it moderately, and Aggressive raises it noticeably more.

4. Change the neural network

   LALAL.AI neural networks operate on different models and have their own unique strengths. In the settings of the Stem Splitter and Voice Cleaner, you can experiment with the two latest available networks to see which one produces better results for your specific audio.

What are the Fast and Relaxed splitting modes?

Relaxed mode queues files for processing as server capacity allows (wait times vary by load);
Fast mode provides instant priority access for quicker results. Both deliver identical quality.

In Fast mode, you have a limited number of minutes per month. Unused Fast minutes reset at the start of each new month and do not roll over. Use them before renewal since the remaining time cannot be transferred or accumulated.

Note: You cannot manually switch modes. Instead, processing automatically starts in Fast mode at the beginning of each month until your minute limit is reached. Files then switch to Relaxed mode, where you can process unlimited minutes without restrictions.

How are the minutes deducted from my account?

There are several stem separation types you can choose from. One separation type is applied at a time, giving you two stems per file. Depending on the selected type, you receive a pair of vocal and instrumental stems, isolated drums + drumless stem, isolated bass + bassless stem, etc.

Minutes are deducted from the account by the following formula:

Total file length x stem separation type(s) number

Example:

File length: 5 minutes

Selected separation types: Drums, Piano and Vocal/Instrumental.

Total number of deducted minutes: 5 minutes x 3 stem separation types = 15 minutes

Where can I see the remaining limit for splitting in the Fast mode?

All limits are displayed in your profile. On the site, hover the cursor over the minute balance at the top right corner of the page. It will expand into a window with information about your subscription and remaining minutes.

What if I run out of Fast minutes? Can I buy top-ups?

Yes, if your Fast minutes are depleted before the end of the month, you can purchase top-ups (additional minutes) for extra priority queue processing. Depending on your needs, you can get the Master top-up (750 minutes), Premium (3000 minutes), or Enterprise (5000 minutes) option.

Do you offer customized pricing for enterprise or large-scale customers?

What is the activation key and where can I find it?

The activation key is a unique code assigned to each premium user. You can use it to activate your subscription or minute pack in the LALAL.AI desktop app and to access our API.

You can find your activation key in your profile on the LALAL.AI website (make sure you’re logged in). It’s also included in your purchase email.

How do I cancel the subscription?

Follow the steps below:

1. On the site, hover the cursor over the minute balance at the top right corner of the page. It will expand into a window with information about your subscription and remaining minutes.
2. In this window, click on the Profile section.
3. On your Profile page, click the Manage Subscription button. It will take you to the page where you can manage your subscription.
4. Click the Cancel Subscription button.

You’ll be able to use premium features and your remaining minutes until the end of your current subscription period, as shown by the expiration date in the top-right menu.

The subscription is not refundable. After the subscription period ends, our system will not request another payment from your account.

How do I remove echo and reverb?

LALAL.AI’s de-echo feature uses advanced algorithms and machine learning to process audio signals, effectively eliminating echo and reverberation from songs, voice recordings, and vocal tracks.

To remove echo and reverb from your audio, open the LALAL.AI site. Within the upload section, click the settings icon and enable the De-echo vocals/voice feature in the drop-down menu.

Select either Vocal and Instrumental or Voice and Noise stem. Then upload your audio or video file in MP3, OGG, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, AAC, M4A, AVI, MP4, MKV, MOV, or AAC formats.

How does Enhanced Processing work?

Enhanced Processing lets you choose how a stem is extracted. Deep Extraction captures more of the stem you selected, but some of the other content may leak into it. Clear Cut keeps the stem cleaner, but part of the stem you selected may be left out. Whether either happens depends on your audio and it may not happen at all, so listen to the previews and choose the mode that works best for your track. Some stems and neural networks do not need this choice, so it is not offered for them.

In order to find Enhanced Processing and change its mode, follow these steps:

1. Open LALAL.AI Stem Splitter or Vocal Remover.
2. Within the upload section, click the settings icon at the top right corner.
3. In the drop-down menu, find the Enhanced Processing option. Select the mode, depending on your goal.

Why is Enhanced Processing unavailable?

Enhanced Processing is unavailable for some combinations of stem and neural network. For these combinations there is no trade-off between deeper and cleaner extraction to choose from, so Clear Cut and Deep Extraction are not offered.

How does Noise Canceling Level work?

Noise Canceling Level controls how much the volume of a quiet voice is raised after the noise has been removed, so a higher level makes a quiet voice easier to hear. The setting is available in Voice Cleaner, and with the Voice and Noise stem in Stem Splitter and Vocal Remover.

Voices are often quieter than the noise around them, such as applause, traffic, or a crowd, so when the noise is gone the voice can stay quiet and the result may sound as if the noise was not removed well. Noise Canceling Level raises the voice using compression, an audio technique that makes quiet signals louder without over-amplifying loud ones.

The setting has three levels: Mild applies no additional processing and leaves the voice at its original level, Normal raises a quiet voice moderately, and Aggressive raises it noticeably more. If the voice still sounds too quiet after cleaning, try a higher level, and if it sounds overcompressed, try a lower one. Listen to the preview before you process the full file.

Follow the steps below to find and use LALAL.AI’s Noise Canceling Level setting:

1. Open LALAL.AI Stem Splitter or Voice Cleaner.
2. In the upload section, toggle the stem bar to expand all options.
3. Select the Voice and Noise stem.
4. Within the upload section, click the settings icon at the top right corner.
5. In the drop-down menu, find the Noise Canceling Level option.
6. Select one of the three levels depending on your needs.
7. Proceed to upload your audio or video file.
