How to Remove Background Music
There are many reasons why you may want to get rid of background music in audio and video recordings. Whether it’s the need to amplify vocals, clean up the sound of speech, or remove copyrighted music, LALAL.AI Voice Cleaner is best tool for the task.

- Open LALAL.AI Voice Cleaner
- Click Select Files to upload your audio or video file. The service supports MP3, OGG, WAV, FLAC, AVI, MP4, MKV, AIFF, AAC formats.
- Click (▶) next to the Voice preview. You will hear a portion of voice or vocals separated from the background music.
Tip: If you think that the preview sounds overcompressed, or you hear the sound of music leaking into the voice track, try changing the Noise Canceling Level. This setting is located to the left of the previews.
In the Noise Canceling Level section, select one of the following levels:
- Mild to apply no additional compression.
- Normal to enable soft compression.
- Aggressive to add very aggressive compression.
After that, click the Create New Previews button. Adjust the Noise Canceling Level until you get the desired effect.
- (This step applies only to premium users) Select the output format. If you want to get the results in the same format as the file you uploaded, skip this step.
- Clean up the track in full. Below the preview section, select either Starter (Free) or one of the paid packs.
- Sign up and click the Split in Full button.
- Click the download icon (⤓) within the Voice [Full] section. Background music and other non-vocal sounds can be found in the Noise track.
If you want to export the results in another format, click the arrow on the Split in Full button and pick a format from the drop-down list.
If you selected the Starter pack, you will be able listen to the entire track online.
If you’ve selected the Lite or Plus pack, you will be able to listen and download the full track. The resulting file will be downloaded in the same format as the file you originally uploaded, unless you performed the fourth step. The download links will also be sent to your email.
