New LALAL.AI Features: Enhanced Processing & Noise Canceling
Everything you need to know about the LALAL.AI's Enhanced Processing and Noise Canceling features. How they work, where to find and how to use them.
We added the De-Echo feature to LALAL.AI just a month ago, but we're already back with new treats - Enhanced Processing and Noise Canceling Level settings. This means that we now offer users more control over the final results and provide the possibility to improve not only the vocals, but also other stems. Let's break down the new features, see where to find them, how they work, and what they can do to enhance your creative projects.
What's Changed
The Processing Level setting has been replaced by two new ones: Enhanced Processing for extracting stems, and Noise Canceling Level for raising a quiet voice after the noise has been removed (if you select the Voice and Noise stem or use the LALAL.AI Voice Cleaner service).
These new settings serve the same purpose as the old Processing Level, but have a significant difference in how they work, as well as in the quality and even quantity of the results. Enhanced Processing can refine different stems, while the old setting was only capable of enhancing vocals and voice.
How It Works
🔹Enhanced Processing
Enhanced Processing lets you choose how a stem is extracted. Deep Extraction captures more of the stem you selected, but some of the other content may leak into it. Clear Cut keeps the stem cleaner, but part of the stem you selected may be left out.
Whether either happens depends on your audio, and it may not happen at all, so listen to the previews and choose the mode that works best for your track. Some stems and neural networks do not need this choice, so it’s not offered for them.
🔹Noise Canceling
Noise Canceling Level works differently from Enhanced Processing: it controls how much the volume of a quiet voice is raised after the noise has been removed.
There are three levels: Mild applies no additional processing, Normal enables soft compression and raises a quiet voice moderately, and Aggressive enables very aggressive compression and raises a quiet voice noticeably more.
Where to Find & How to Use
Enhanced Processing is found in the upload settings, and the steps below show how to use it.
- Open the LALAL.AI site.
- In the upload section, toggle the stem bar to expand all options.
- Select the stem you want to extract. Note that Enhanced Processing is not offered for some stems and neural networks.
- Click the settings icon in the top right corner of the upload section, find Enhanced Processing, and choose Clear Cut or Deep Extraction.
- Click the Select Files button to upload your audio or video and start splitting with Enhanced Processing.
Before you process a file, you can pick the Noise Canceling Level that suits your recording in the upload settings. Follow the steps below to try it out.
- Open the LALAL.AI site.
- In the upload section, toggle the stem bar to expand all options.
- Select the Voice and Noise stem.
- Click the settings icon in the top right corner of the upload section.
- In the drop-down list, find Noise Canceling Level and choose Mild, Normal, or Aggressive.
- Click the Select Files button to upload your audio or video.
