Meet Our Partner: Songstats, Your New Go-To Tool for Music Marketing Informed Decisions
Ever released a track and had no idea it was getting DJ support or a playlist add until someone mentioned it weeks later? That's the exact problem our partner Songstats was built to solve.
Tech stack of any artist is diverse: tools for songwriting, mixing, mastering, and promotion pop up each day, and the music tech market makes us keep up with these novelties. Songstats, our current partners, is designed to help you make informed decisions based on how your music is performing and what steps to take next to gain as many fans as you want.
“The idea behind Songstats came from a very practical place. We are artists ourselves, and we wanted to create a platform that we would actually use. We saw how difficult it was to understand what was really happening around a release,” the Songstats team shares.
Data is scattered across multiple platforms and seeing what's actually moving is difficult on a graph. The team built Songstats to solve that problem. The platform brings music data into one user-friendly dashboard and pairs it with a real-time Activity Feed and alerts, so artists and teams can quickly spot important moments as they happen.
“That same approach still guides the way we build. Many of our features come from real needs within the team and the wider artist community. Our playlist recommendations tool is a good example. Someone on the team wanted a better way to identify relevant playlists to pitch to, built it for himself, found it useful, and we later launched it as part of our Marketing Tools.”
That has always been the mission behind Songstats and the wider Stats company: to make data more understandable, more useful, and easier to turn into action.
In line with this, they’ve recently launched MCP allowing artists to connect Songstats to their AI (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok) for endless possibilities to interact and leverage their data for growth.

One part of the value is that it unifies multiple sources into one dashboard with a consistent interface. But it’s not only the same data with a nicer interface. The real goal is to surface more granular insights that artists and teams can actually leverage.
Most native dashboards are useful for keeping basic tabs on performance, but often they don't show the wider story: where momentum is building, who is supporting a track, which playlists, charts, DJs, radio stations, territories, and platforms are moving at the same time.
One of the biggest differences is the Activity Feed. Instead of making you dig through dashboards, Songstats surfaces wins, milestones, and important movements as they happen. Push notifications also mean you don't need to monitor your data constantly. Songstats does it in the background and alerts you when there is something worth knowing.
Then there are Sharing Artworks, which help you turn data into promotion. If a track gets playlisted, charted, played by a DJ, picked up on radio, or hits a milestone, you can turn that into social proof quickly and share it with fans, teams, or industry contacts.
The DJ Support metric is career-shaping information that other generic analytics platforms simply don’t provide. Producers and DJs can leverage this to boost credibility, measure how well the track is performing in the live and club scene, monitor support within the DJ world, and secure future opportunities — anything from remixes, and collaborations, to label signings and touring opportunities.
Does every DJ play turn into streams? Not necessarily directly, but repeated support from the right DJs can absolutely help build awareness. It can certainly lead to Shazams, searches, new listeners, more industry attention, and future opportunities.
“The biggest 'aha' moment is usually the first time Songstats surfaces something artists would have missed.”
It might be a DJ playing their track, a radio station supporting it, a playlist add, a chart movement, or a spike in Shazams in a specific country or city. These are valuable moments, but they're not always easy to find if you're checking each platform manually.
"For many artists, Songstats shows that there's more is happening around their music than they realised. A track might be gaining support in a territory they were not focused on. A DJ might be playing it in a set. A radio station might be giving it repeated support. A playlist add might be helping create movement somewhere else."

That is where real-time alerts become powerful. They help artists see momentum while it's happening, not weeks later when the opportunity has passed.
Radiostats offers AI-powered airplay monitoring across 50,000+ radio stations and TV channels: "It’s definitely more than a nice-to-know”
Radio is an extremely powerful source and metric in the industry today. Airplay is an important signal for artists, labels, and collaborators as it can show where a track is gaining industry support, which territories are responding, and where momentum might be building outside streaming platforms. That information can shape a real strategy. If a radio station is consistently playing a track and Shazams are rising, that is a signal worth acting on. The artist or team might reach out to the station, build a local campaign, or use the momentum to support upcoming shows.
Radio data can also be used as leverage. It gives artists something concrete to show when speaking with labels, managers, agents, promoters, publishers, or other industry partners.
There's also a revenue side. Radio can become a valuable income source for artists, labels, publishers, and collaborators, so tracking airplay can help users understand where plays are happening and provide useful data when working with a publisher, PRO, CMO, or collection partner.
"Through Radiostats, we also offer a collection service to help artists collect their radio income. So it's not just about knowing where your music is being played; it can also help artists turn that activity into real value."

"Socialstats is our new social media analytics platform for creators who want to understand what’s happening across their social channels in one place.”
The idea is similar to Songstats: take scattered data and turn it into something clear, useful, and actionable. Socialstats tracks performance across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook, helping creators, brands, agencies, and artists spot standout posts, engagement spikes, notable followers, audience growth, and the moments worth acting on. With the Activity Feed, push notifications, and shareable artworks, it makes social analytics easier to understand and easier to leverage.

"For artists, this is especially important because social media is where they can deepen the connection with existing fans, reach new audiences, and promote themselves beyond the latest release," Songstats shares. "It also helps artists stay present between releases, keeping people engaged in their story so the next release has a warmer and more connected audience behind it."
