It begins with uploading source content, whether it’s video, audio, or text, into the Olabs platform. The source content is then transcribed and translated into the desired target languages. This step uses AI-powered transcription tools followed by neural or agentic translation models, with human review options to ensure accuracy and tone.

For video or audio content, we isolate vocals, clean up background noise, and prepare the audio tracks for dubbing or voice-over. Using advanced AI dubbing technology, we generate high-quality voice-overs in multiple languages. Where needed, human voice actors or editors step in for quality and tone matching, especially for premium content.

The dubbed audio is synchronized with video and expertly mixed to match lip-sync, timing, and emotional flow which ensures a polished, engaging viewer experience.

Then, our QA process combines AI checks with human verification. The finalized multilingual content is then delivered in the desired format, ready to publish across channels.

Some of the biggest technical and operational challenges we face in preparing audio for localization include poor audio quality in the source material, background noise, overlapping speech, and the need to isolate specific vocal tracks.

Audio quality and vocal isolation are extremely important in our dubbing and translation workflows. Clean audio and clear vocal tracks are equally essential for accurate transcription, translation, and high-quality dubbing.

We were looking for a solution to improve the quality of our audio processing, specifically to address issues with background noise, overlapping speech, and the difficulty of isolating vocal tracks from mixed audio. We discovered LALAL.AI through extensive industry research into advanced audio separation tools, were impressed by its performance claims and decided to try it out.

At this point, we use LALAL.AI at the audio preparation stage of our localization pipeline primarily to remove vocals from audio while keeping the background intact. Vocal isolation also plays a key role in improving our transcription accuracy. Clean background tracks are essential: AI-generated voices blend in better, giving the final output a more natural feel.

We previously used an open-source tool, but its accuracy wasn't on par with LALAL.AI. It also required significant engineering effort to run and maintain, especially for long audio files. Switching to LALAL.AI removed that overhead completely.

In a documentary localization project with poor audio quality, LALAL.AI helped isolate speech from heavy background noise, making transcription and dubbing much smoother. V4 Orion had trouble with certain segments, but V5 Perseus handled them without issue.
