The origin of this holiday is unknown, yet, historically, every year on February 11 the United States celebrates National Guitar Day, also known as Get Out Your Guitar Day. How to Get Better at Guitar Playing
Since LALAL.AI is a music source separation service, it may not strike you as the obvious go-to tool for learning guitar. However, its AI-powered stem extraction algorithm allows you to accurately cut the (acoustic or electric) guitar out of the mix of any song and use it to train your ear and make guitar covers.
With a guitar track isolated from the rest of the instruments and vocals, you can better understand the composition and use it to learn the guitar part by ear. After you’ve practiced the part, you can turn on the stem with the rest of the music except guitar, and fill the guitar part in by playing along on your own instrument.
Here is how to get isolated guitar stem and the stem with the rest of the music in one go:
- Open LALAL.AI in your browser.
- Click the Vocal and Instrumental button. It will open the full Stem Separation Types list.
- Select either Acoustic guitar or Electric guitar in the drop-down menu.
- Click the Select File button to upload your file.
- Play the stem previews - one containing the guitar track, the other with the rest of the music.
- Sign up and click Process the Entire File if you like what you hear. If you don’t, upload another version of the track or try another file.
- Click the download icon (⤓) next to the stems to save them.
That’s it! The extracted stems will be saved in the same format and quality as the track you’ve uploaded. The download links will also be sent to your email.
